1. There was no business meeting in conjunction with the Winter Conference. However, these minutes were written to officially document the proceedings.

2. Past President George Polak opened the Conference with the following announcements:

The Spring 1999 InfORMS National Conference in Cincinnati is drawing near. Anyone desiring to participate in the conference organization should contact David Rogers, Jeff Camm, or George Polak.

Thanks to Prentice Hall for furnishing refreshments and speakers' gifts.

Thank you to Chuck Wells of the University of Dayton for organizing the Conference.
